Online training is available internationally, with flexible scheduling by agreement. If you cannot find a suitable time, get in touch to discuss your availability.
Your questions
Are sessions live and one-to-one?
Yes. Private online lessons with Charlie give you time to ask questions and practise through screen sharing. Sessions are personalised tuition, rather than recorded courses.
Can I book from outside the UK?
Yes. Online training is available internationally. Check the available times or get in touch about your time zone and availability.
Can we work through a problem in my project?
Yes—tell me what’s happening and what you’d like to achieve. We can investigate it together and explore possible solutions. Some issues depend on the source files, software or hardware, so a specific fix can’t be guaranteed.
What should I bring to a session?
Bring your learning goals and, if helpful, a project you want to work on. Tell me which software and version you use when you book.
Who do you teach?
Beginners, returning learners and experienced creatives. We establish what you already know, then choose relevant topics and a pace that suits you. The level available depends on the subject: for example, DaVinci Resolve colour work is beginner-to-intermediate. Share your goals so we can confirm the right fit.
Why choose a private lesson rather than tutorials?
Tutorials can be useful, but they cannot respond to your questions or your project. In a live one-to-one session, we can explore the parts that feel unclear, try different approaches and help you understand why a technique works.
Do sessions follow a set curriculum?
Only if that is helpful for you. I can suggest a structured learning route, or tailor each session to your own project and questions. We adapt the explanation and pace to your experience.
What is your teaching experience?
I spent ten years in a lead training role at Apple and have delivered more than 10,000 hours of technical and creative training. I am a certified Final Cut Pro trainer and work professionally in video and motion graphics, bringing both teaching experience and practical creative work to the lessons.
